Dairy Queen – Platte City

Dairy Queen has been in Platte City since 1983 and was renovated in 2014.

Cathy Darr purchased the Dairy Queen on October 15, 2015 using MSBF’s SBA 504 loan program. Cathy worked for International Dairy Queen for 11 years as a Business Consultant, Opening Specialist, and Training Consultant. She has had the dream of owning her own Dairy Queen for more than 10 years, and actively sought 3 other ventures with partners, until the Platte City Dairy Queen became available.

With the help of Midwest Small Business Finance, the Small Business Administration and Wells Bank, Cathy was able to achieve her dream of being a Dairy Queen owner without having to rely on other partners!
